AIMSSEC at UNESCO International Task Force on Teachers, in Lome, TOGO

AIMSSEC was invited by the UNESCO International Task Force on Teachers to attend the Annual Meeting and the 10th Policy Dialogue Forum of the Task Force on Teachers in Lomé the capital of Togo from 18 to 21 September 2017. Barrie Barnard, Academic Manager from AIMSSEC, represented AIMSSEC as laureate of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize (edition 2011-2012) for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers in developing countries within marginalized or disadvantaged communities.The 10th Policy Dialogue Forum focused on the topic “Teaching: a Profession”, a core concept in the provisions of teachers in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Education 2030 Agenda. Look out for full details in our next newsletter in October.
